Established in 1845, University of Galway is a research-led university ranked in the top 250 universities globally (QS and Times Higher World University Ranking), employing in excess of 2,000 staff with a 17,000-strong student population. University of Galway places a strong focus on providing a supportive and exciting environment for its researchers and, in 2013, was awarded the “HR Excellence in Research” by the European Commission. The Enterprise Research Centre in University of Galway focuses on the design, development and analysis of new processes and systems, with emphasis on real-world dynamic systems, analytical theories and frameworks to gain a deep insight into how organizations effectively manage their innovative efforts. The Enterprise Research Centre’s projects focus on developing tangible outputs such as architectures, models and information management systems.

Learnovate centre

Learnovate is an industry-led centre of excellence for innovation and research in learning technologies. Funded by EI and IDA and hosted by Trinity College, Dublin. With over 20 full time researchers and practitioners, Learnovate has expertise and experience that encompasses a wide range of learning environments including corporate learning, higher education learning, school learning and non-formal learning. Learnovate has a multidisciplinary team with learning sciences, computer science, user experience and user-centric design, as well as experts at the forefront of e-learning and EdTech innovation.
