Unlocking the Power of Agile and Design Thinking.
Agile DT seeks to adapt VET programmes to future labour market needs by changing the way that students and teachers collaborate in agile teams through the design of an innovation framework to support them to move their ideas into products that industry and civil society will use to solve their challenges. The main result of this project will be a cross-disciplinary activity that can be embedded in the VET programme and will help their students to be better prepared for the future of work.
About the project
AgileDT comprises 5 work packages (WP) that include the following activities:
● Understand and prioritise schools needs via focus group analysis.
● Create 3 cross-disciplinary teams (DTForce) of students and teachers.
● Learn about Design Thinking, Agile and other innovation methods and tools in online workshops.
● Co-design 3 Innovation Frameworks (IF).
● Implement an online digital platform with methods and tools description.
● Pilot test the processes in an iterative mode within the schools’ context.
At the end of each work package, we expect to have results that allow the project to progress seamlessly.
Therefore, WP2 results in the creation of 3 cross-disciplinary teams (DT-forces) that work according to the school context analysis.
WP3 results in the definition of 3 IFs (1 per country).
WP4 results in the deployment of an online digital platform to show how to apply
innovation techniques in VET.
And finally WP5 results in a series of challenges completed with industry by applying the IFs.

The EŠNM consists of two units: the secondary school and the higher vocational college. The secondary school teaches students aged 15 to 19 in courses for economists, media technicians and salespeople. The Higher Vocational College offers courses in economics and media production for students between the ages of 19 and 23. Economics students acquire skills in entrepreneurship, management. The school works with start-up companies to promote entrepreneurial ideas. Students in media production learn video production, photography, graphic and web design.

Agrupamento de Escolas de Sertã (AES) is located in Sertã, a rural area in the interior of the Castelo Branco district, in the centre of Portugal. As one of the main local employers, AES provides education from early childhood to secondary school, including vocational courses in digital services, multimedia, electricity, and more. With 1430 students, the school focuses on adapting to the needs of a diverse student population, including many migrants, and is recognized for the quality of its vocational education.

The Daniel Castelao Professional Training Center was founded in 1975 and was born from the need to meet a demand for training for people in the professional environment. The school is located in Vigo (Spain).
It has 31 workers, of which 26 are teachers and 5 administration and services personnel. Every school-year around 300 students attend classes at our school.
The degrees which are taught at the school, belong to the three levels that the Ministry of Education recognised in the Spanish System: Vocational Training for Basic Vocational Training, Middle Level Vocational Training Cycles and Higher Vocational Training Cycles.

At the Brežice Vocational College, we run two post-secondary professional programs: economics and wellness. The school is also verified for adult education.
